Understanding How the Workforce is Assessing Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders During Pregnancy

Published: 2024-09-01
Updated: 2024-09-24

Project Description

Screening for substance use disorders (SUD) and mental health disorders (MHD) is a current top healthcare priority nationally, yet the U.S. healthcare workforce is not routinely screening pregnant individuals for MHDs and SUDs. This study aims to better understand screening practices for perinatal SUD and MHD in the U.S. to help address gaps in care for pregnant individuals.
