Variation in Psychiatric Collaborative Care Management Codes by Populations: Understanding Extent of Use and for Whom

Project Description

The Psychiatric Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) codes were released in 2018 to support financing for integrated behavioral health; however, it is unclear the extent to which these codes are being used to deliver care. This study will use MarketScan, a data source of commercially insured individuals in the U.S., to observe the rate of CoCM use codes between 2018 and 2021 and compared use across patient’s age, gender, diagnosis, and provider type.
